Freeman Elected to New Mandate! Only Second Consecutive Ticket in GUM History! Congratulations All Around!

Grand Unified Micronational, 19 June 2025

Last night, in a momentous display of unity and support from the international micronational community, Chairman Jonathan T. Freeman of Northudankton has secured re-election as Chair of the Grand Unified Micronational (GUM), making history as the only the same ticket won consecutive terms in the organization’s top executive role.

The June 2025 GUM Executive Election concluded with Freeman and his running mate James Frisch (Serene Beaconite Republic) achieving a clear first-round victory. Out of 29 eligible full member states, 21 cast valid ballots, delivering a strong 72.4% turnout. The Freeman–Frisch ticket earned 12 first-preference votes, far surpassing the required quota without need for a runoff.

Their re-election not only marks a rare moment in GUM leadership but also reaffirms Northudankton’s influential role within the global micronational landscape. Supreme Justice V.I. Hewitt certified the result, and was swiftly followed by a wave of congratulations from fellow member states, including Misberia, Saspearian, Tinland, New Virginia, Nenggog, and others.

In a statement issued at 10:56 PM, Chairman Freeman thanked the community for their trust and declared that the new term would be “more active, professional, and eventful than the last.” He emphasized renewed commitment to diplomacy, organizational stability, and ideological integrity within the GUM.

Long live Northudankton. Long live the Revolution.
